Please read the Department of Peace proposal by Congressman Kucinich: (click here) It is something to incorporate. The Baltimore
Compact is meant for all whom want to to make these (in Peace Resolution) and others - Together.
NEXT STEPS 1. Ceremony with Resolution hung in rotunda of City Hall and books placed
below with small table for people to write pledges and visions of a healed Baltimore (see last "Resolved") and photocopies.
TBA 2. Found the Baltimore Peace Compact (people, non and profit businesses, schools, and faith-based groups) -
endorsing and committing to the 3:00 O'Clock (EST/EDT)PM international movement of thoughts and prayers in silence for peace
of our planet, Earth for at least three minutes. Inviting becoming part of Baltimore Peace Commission. 3. Clearly
defining what each piece of the resolution entails. 4. The formation of a Peace Commission in Baltimore
Clearly defining purpose and components Write proposal to Mayor for why a Peace Commission should exist and why
Asking for help on national level (Perhaps the precursor to Peace Department of the United States of America)
5.Writing legislation regarding each clearly defined piece of Peace Resolution. For example: "and is not afraid
to say compassionate love is the central focus of politics" What is not at center of politics anymore:
Money - Campaign Finance Reform [Campaign contributions and special interests continued to decide who
runs Baltimore City, (and United States) into the 21st Century. City citizens are angry that development builders, banks,
and sports owners continue to fore fill agendas by essentially buying government officials. In past City election, 1999,
the BALTIMORE SUN (September 5th, 1999), Bell, O'Malley, and Stokes (all democratic candidates) receive 2 million dollars
in campaign donations, with other candidates amounts not mentioned. Bell and O'Malley's voting records showed big business
takeover while small business survival, and revival of West Side nixed.] Inequality -
Fair ballot access All political parties registered in Baltimore
listed on voter registration forms [Currently there are percentage requirements] No signatures required for any one running
for office [Currently no required signatures for Democratic and Republican candidates, for everyone else, especially Independents,
1000 + "Valid" signatures {depending on office}] Or all have signature requirements.
Financial Status - ..... so much more!!!! WHAT ARE YOUR IDEAS! PLEASE SHARE! SWIRL!

It isn't enough to talk about peace.
One must believe in it.
And it isn't enough to believe in it.
One must work at it.
