When Baltimore Saved America

The year - 1812.  Guess who are back?  Yes, it is the British.  By 1814 the "red coats" had conquered most if the South.  It was Baltimore, the South's most northern and the country's most prosperous port which defended and produced the most miraculous ending of war to date in the United States of America.  "And the flag was still there."

The Citizens of Baltimore City ratified The Fifteenth Amendment in 1870, but Maryland did not until 1973.  Yes, 1973!
