Circles Galore

Hello,

I am looking for someone who is interested in facilitating a Mentor Gathering via a Baltimore Citizen Circle starting in 2008. This an exciting time for everyone interested in making Maryland more democratic, with more Libertarian, Green, and unaffiliated candidates on the ballot than ever before. It's also a time of great challenge for the average voter, since the old legislative and congressional districts are gone and the political map has literally been redrawn.

Let's get together to share what we know and how we can find out more - so as to participate more fully as informed citizens.

Blessings to all,

Susan Gaztanega

WISDOM OF RELIGIONS
This is the second meeting in a series called "Drawing from the Ancient Wells of Wisdom." Our last meeting focused on Deuteronomy 6:4-5 - "Hear O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord; and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might" - with supplemental readings from the Koran.

The reading for next Sunday's Circle will be Leviticus 19:18 - "You shall not take vengeance or bear any grudge against the sons of your own people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself." Between now and Sunday, think about what it means to truly "love your neighbor." You may also have some thoughts about what it does NOT mean.

The date and time is this Sunday, June 16 at 4 p.m. If you are coming for the first time, or bringing a new person, I encourage you to come at 3:30 so that we can watch the video introducing the Global Renaissance Alliance without taking time away from the Circle meeting.

E-mail or call for address.
